Works As ExpectedApr 20, 2009

If you're wondering about this battery and whether or not to buy it, I'll say thus far I'm happy with it. It's for my Acer Aspire One AOA150-1635. Battery read a little over 6 hours in Linux (this fluctuates on both Windows and Linux depending on what you're doing...it shot up to over 7 at a few points).
I, of course, charged it until it was 100% full and then ran it down to about 5% and am charging again. It works as advertised and I did in fact get roughly 6 hours or so out of it. It's quite big in comparison to my 3 cell. Kind of sucks because it keeps the screen from opening as far back but you can still tilt it to about a 120 degree angle give or take. Also with the battery being so enormous, it tilts the keyboard up to a nice typing angle when you set it on a flat surface AND as others have mentioned with these batteries, it makes quite a nice handle to carry the netbook with.
All in all it seems like a pretty good battery. Does what it is supposed to and I can't really fault them for the battery being so big...it has 3 times the amount of cells as the battery that originally came with my laptop.

Great Battery - Great DealJul 29, 2009
By J. Gootee I purchased this battery to extend the runtime on my new Acer netbook. WOW is all I can say! I went from a mere 2.5hrs to over 6! (I still have not gone to a warning level with it. I think 6 is GREAT!)
I was a little uncertain before I bought it - the Acer battery (on the Acer website) made me a little concerned that any battery I bought would just as likely not fit in the battery compartment.
This one slipped right in. Mind you it does protrude out the back a bit, and lifts the back edge of the computer, but hey, where would you put the extra cells if you did not grow the foot print a bit.
This is a great battery and a great deal! I heartily recommend it for anyone who owns an Acer Aspire One netbook.

LIFE-SAVERJul 19, 2009
By G. Wenn I purchased an Acer Aspire One only to find out that the battery life is about 2 hours IF I AM LUCKY. I was traveling to Europe for a month and knew I needed an additional battery. I thought based on reviews, I had read, I would give it a go. Well...I couldn't be happier. This battery, honestly, was a LIFE-SAVER. I charged it up before I left and I must have got 8+ hours continuously...each time I charged the battery. I would highly recommend this battery. The only thing that I need to remind you of is this: The battery does weigh more than the battery that comes with the ACER ASPIRE ONE. But who cares? I mean when you get 4 times the amount of battery life...I believe that it is okay if you have to carry another pound around.

Battery lasts a long time!Apr 15, 2009

I am really impressed with how long the battery lasts, it added some weight to my netbook but not enough to be cumbersome. The battery lasts approximately 6 hours which is what I wanted, I use this small computer on the go and needed the extra hours without charging it.

Good things come in a .....big packageNov 26, 2009
By Mike C I have an aspire one and obviously I wanted a longer battery life so I got this.
Its large, and as the other reviewers mentioned adds weight/lifts up the back. I really don't mind. The sides of it aren't flush with the rest of the laptop.
My large concern was "is this gigantic 3rd party battery going to catch fire and explode?" So far, no :D
Seriously though, its not UL tested (then again, neither is the acer battery that came with my computer) unlike bateries for my old HP laptop. This one has an FCC and CE stamp but apparently those don't necessarily indicate safety against product failure. It should be okay though- as far as the build quality its a good duty plastic and it doesn't get hot. I'm not an electronics safety expert, but I'm not as concerned as before making the purchase.
Despite being kind of large, my other concern was "can I take it on an airplane." There are prohibited batteries according to the TSA. According to the info on the back of the battery, it gets a little over 73 watt hours which is still below the 100 watt hour point where things get a little shaky when you're flying. I've traveled with it once so far and it wasn't an issue.
So, with those concerns out of the way- its a great battery. I usually get over 6:30 hours with wifi on and I've been using it occasionally over a couple of months. I haven't tried watching an entire dvd movie while using the battery. However the battery meter on XP estimates that I should get over 4 hours when I'm using my usb powered dvd drive and watching a dvd ("battery bar says 6 hours")- I don't know which is more correct but I haven't had the need to give this a reality test.
