The SO uses an Acer Aspire One that I hacked to run OS X 10.5.8. With this extra-large battery, the little thing is much heavier, but the battery life is easily tripled, as compared with the stock (3-cell?) model.

This battery works great. It sticks out from the netbook, as it is larger than the battery that comes with it. I like that though, because it lifts the netbook up a bit when working on a desk. This ensures that the netbook does not over heat.
