 Battery Failed in Less Than a YearNov 08, 2010

I purchased this battery in 2009. The battery failed in approx. a year. Contacted the seller and they sent me a generic e-mail that made you feel that this was not uncommon for this product. They still after several emails will not confirm the warranty period and at this point will not even respond.
In any case the battery is a different color and extremly large but not lasting more than a year does not speak well for the product or the seller.
The battery does power the laptop longer than the 6-cell but not as long as they claim.
I do not like leaving negative reviews but if it saves others from spending money on a poor product, so be it.

This a wonderful replacement for the stock 3 cell that came with my MSI Wind U100-018US. Fits perfectly.

My old battery for msi100 is totally broken after one year and completely broken after two years. I just got this new battery for half month. It is working well now. I feel much better with this portable laptop. But the new battery is really bigger than the original one so that the whole laptop is too big to original sleeve. But when I use it, the screen is higher with new battery so that it is easier to watch the screen.

This battery gives me about three times the battery life of the original battery. It is heavier than the original, but that is the trade-off for longer. I like how it props up the back of the laptop allowing more air flow underneath.

The original battery on my MSI Wind was only charging up to 75%, giving me about 45 minutes of use, by the time I broke down and bought this replacement. It is SO NICE having more time to use my laptop without having to plug in. I am very impressed by the fact I get about 3-4 hours of use, and just so happy I don't have to always stick next to an outlet to use my supposedly mobile device! Very, very happy!
Oh, and an extra, side-benefit: because it's so big, the battery sticks out of the laptop instead of being flush with the case, but, unlike my husband's new laptop battery which just goes back, the battery sticks DOWN, propping the case up, giving the machine much-needed air circulation so it doesn't overheat.
